Last Saturday Byron Bay Rugby Union Club hosted their annual ladies day and sponsors day to raise much needed funds for the Cancer Council and for breast cancer.
The day consisted on the local first grade side playing Ballina with the winner competing for a double chance in the final series. With a tight contest expected it was to everyone’s delight at Byron that their home team came out 38-5 bonus point winners in a one sided affair. Congratulations boys.
As it was ladies day the first grade team donned pink jerseys, shorts and socks supplied by us here at CS91, after the game all 23 jerseys were auctioned off to the general public with all proceeds going towards breast cancer research.
The day was a massive success with almost $6,500 raised.
We would like to make a special mentioned to all those in Byron Bay Rugby Union Club who made all of the events happen on the weekend it was very enjoyable to be apart as a sponsors and CS91 would like to congratulate you on the funds raised.
Good luck with the lead up to the finals.
